Last night at chateau marmont

Just like any other novel of Lauren Weisberger's last night at chateau marmont is a unique story...though not the taste of some, this novel starts off bland but picks up its flavour soon. Browsing for good novels is kind of like buying a dress, it is really tough to decide which one will be the best and i have to say buying this novel was money spent well. I suggest to those who have just started to read it, give it a chance...

The plot
What happens when you become the headline of a gossip magazine, you so loved to read?
Brooke handles two jobs, first, as a nutritionist at NYU hospital and second, as a consultant to an upper east side girls school. Brooke was attracted to her husband, julian, the first time she saw  him perform 'hallelujah' at a dark east village dive bar.
Now, being married for five years, with her husband as a struggling musician and brooke juggling both her jobs, things finally start to look up when julian catches a big break by signing with sony. Even though no one is sure whether the album will make it to the shelves, julian works day and night at his studio.
After being asked to perform in the tonight show with Jay Leno, julian rises to stardom in a blink of an eye, with a tour with maroon5 and a Grammy performance!
The beginning is amazing and blissful for the couple, i mean why wouldn't it be? Being famous after such hard work is worth it, traveling to beautiful places together and staying at the chateau marmont is like a dream come true.
But soon it starts to affect their marriage, with rumors about trouble in paradise slapped onto the front of magazines, julian being away long and absent on the few days at home. Brooke is forced to start thinking about her marriage, or rather her life and what she wants from it...

True believer

Most of us love the novels by Nicholas Sparks simply because they are absolutely beautiful and even the people who are not interested in romance are attracted to his novels. Nicholas Sparks tends to reach our hearts through his words and his stories certainly bring joy to us and a tear to our eyes. I am an absolute fan of his work. But when I read his novel true believer, it was not as amazing and breathtaking as the rest of his work still after reading the whole book even though it was not that great it was not bad either but it was certainly interesting and even though you can pass up on it I suggest it as a good pass time.

The plot:
Jeremy Marsh is a New Yorker who is really handsome, mostly in black clothes and part of the media elite. An expert on debunking the supernatural with a regular column in “Scientific American,” he has just made his first appearance on national TV. When he receives a letter from the tiny town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, about ghostly lights that appear in a legend-shrouded cemetery, he can’t resist driving down to investigate. There in that tiny town, Lexie Darnell runs the town’s library, just as her mother did before the accident that left Lexie an orphan. Disappointed by past relationships, including one that broke her heart and made her go far away from home, she is sure of one thing though and that is her future in Boone Creek, close to her grandmother and all the other people she loves. Jeremy expects to spend a quick week in the town before speeding back to the city. But from the moment he saw Lexie, he is intrigued and attracted to this beautiful woman who speaks with a soft drawl and complete honesty. And Lexie, while hesitating to trust this outsider, finds herself thinking of Jeremy more than she cares to admit. Now, if they are to be together, Jeremy Marsh must make a difficult choice: return to the life he knows, or do something he’s never done before...
It has a bang on plot but the story is lost somewhere.

The immortals of Meluha

When it comes to Amish Tripathi, his novel 'The Immortals Of Meluha' was my first. The novel takes you to another level, even though i have read only one of his novels it made me a fan of Amish. The Immortals Of Meluha was such a success that just after a week of its arrival it caught the title of best seller in many magazines. Amish transformed the story of Lord Shiva into a more dramatic and deeply interesting plot. Even though it was a bit controversial and a bit simple and frank for a writer, no one can think that it was not worth or was time wasting. This book is action packed with a bit of romance in it. This novel is a must read!
THE PLOT
The Immortals of Meluha opens with Shiva watching the sun set and smoking marijuana. A stage is set where Shiva, the leader of the Guna tribe, is tired of fighting the Pakratis for survival each day and he is considering moving to Meluha with his tribe to lead a new life. Chasing the dream of a life devoid of warfare “sounds so damn good” to Shiva. As he is mulling over the Meluhan’s proposal, the Pakratis strike. A short assault follows where the Meluhans help Shiva and his tribe drive off the Pakratis, and Shiva decides to move to Meluha. the plot from there shows the early stages of Shiva on the road to becoming the neelkanth mahadev we all know and love.
